The Oaks at Lakeside gets a beautiful swan song! A San Fernando Valley gem in the city of Encino. Easier parking in their lot as well as on the side street (La Maida Street/Ventura Blvd), just passed Chevron (directly next door). Amazing cocktails, yummy mimosas, great vibes and even better views. The restaurant overlooks/overlooked EATS: Savory apps for most (those brussel sprouts, wow) and entrees for all. Always impressed with the vegan/vegetarian options as well as section on their menu. I hadn't gotten to come back fro brunch like I'd been planning this spring, however the vegan enchiladas will forever have a lasting impression with me. Crowd Favorites marked, Veggie Friendly finds labeled, Gluten Free options for anybody in need of allergy or preference at their table. While The Oaks was far from inexpensive... It was/is above beyond with service, quality, atmosphere and care. DRINKS: Some By the Glass selections always hard to pass - rose all day, red by the vine, refreshing typically light white, bubbly time? Signature cocktails, a handful of beers... Plus a full bar worthy of cheers! Gorgeous inside as well as out. Maybe they'll find a new location one day and turn it out! Until Oaks at Lakeside overlooking the lake of Los Encinos Historic Park... I bid you farewell, stay well.

I just stopped by for brunch and they said that they are closed for good and a Mexican restaurant would be opening in it's place in a few weeks. Very disappointing, this place was amazing!

Cute little spot Good service Good food The ambience is chill and pleasant. We enjoyed our lunch time here. Definitely revisit.

Nothing could be finer than sitting lakeside sipping a drink and eating a lovely meal with your family. It was the perfect day to celebrate mom's bday. An unusually warm sunny day in late January but very much welcomed!!! We sat at a large table for 13 on the covered patio by the entrance. Our service was excellent. We were not rushed wish is always a plus. The table ordered: lobster rolls, burgers, salads and the salmon. Most of us shared since the portions were pretty big. Everything was good. The only complaint was that the lobster roll was only okay. (This coming from my brother & sister in law from NYC) Mom was happy with her burger & fries:) *Entrance is off of "LA MAIDA" just before Balboa Blvd *Gratuity is automatically added to larger parties *Parking is limited in their lot but plenty of metered street parking. *Lunch is served until 4pm *Great for all celebrations including weddings

What a lovely restaurant. We got a nice table on one of the outside patios right by the lake where all the beautiful swans and ducks are. Just a beautiful serene place. Very unique. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes & broccolini with a lovely beurre blanc sauce which was absolutely fabulous! He had the steak sandwich and loved it. We shared a strawberry tart for dessert and that was excellent as well. Decent prices for what you get. Delicious food with decent portions. David was our server and was outstanding. The staff were all very efficient and helpful. We never knew this establishment was here until I saw it on one of my popular TV shows. It's a hidden gem. We will most definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my time with my friends while over looking the Lakeside. He brought a relaxing ambience while enjoying brunch. We arrive when it opened so there weren't a lot of people there. Our servers were wonderful and attentive. The food was really tasty. I especially enjoyed the brunch selection and mimosas. You must try! Please note there is an option in valet or street parking.

This place is beautiful. The inside is nice. The outside is really pretty and fairly spacious. We came on a Saturday right when they opened for dinner and had house wine (happy hour) which was not that great. They had two plant-based, vegan options on the menu which we were so grateful for. The mushroom burger was tasty and the vegan bowl was good as well. The waiter could have been more pleasant but he was fine. The hostesses were very nice. We got to sit right by the lake and watch the ducks poop and the geese beg for food. It was hilarious actually. The food wasn't outstanding but was good. It was quite pricey but I'd go back for a date or to take a visitor for the atmosphere.

Stopped by early enough before the dinner rush but late enough for that lunch rush. If that makes any sense Lol There's valet parking, no need to stress over St parking. But it's there if you prefer. For Starters, we ordered a pineapple margarita and that blue drink that I cannot remember the name of. But it was good. And for starter apps, we ordered tuna tartare and calamari. The tuna tartar was tasty but as always the chips aren't enough Lol it's not just here at the oaks it's everywhere( but that's just for my liking) For Entrees, we ordered salmon and lasagna. I couldn't tell you how the lasagna was because my date finished before I could try it Lol I guess I'll be coming back for that. My salmon was delicious. The ambiance at the time was very calm and serene. The geese and ducks were louder than anyone else there. You must sit outdoors! And I must stop by during sunset hour just for the view and the vibe. Our server Sergio was great too. Thank you!

Funny coincidence - two of my dearest friends' birthdays are a day apart. They are married to each other. He was my best friend first and now she is my bestie! She's been talking about coming to The Oaks at Lakeside, so I suggested having the dual birthday celebration here. The Oaks is a mini oasis in the midst of a bustling city. There's a lovely outside patio that overlooks the lake, so you can watch the ducks play while enjoying your meal. Across the way is a historic nine room adobe house, which is the oldest home in Encino. (You can read about the history on the menu.) Since it had been raining and the weather was still very cold we sat inside. The indoor dining area is quaint and cozy. Aria was our server and she was fantastic! Unfortunately, I didn't get the host's name but he was also delightful. There were nine of us. I didn't catch everyone's orders but this is what I remembered. Drinks: Latte ($6), Michelada ($12), Bloody Mary ($14), Spa Water (Gin, agave nectar, muddled cucumber $12), La Marca Brut Rosé ($10), Kir Royale ($12). The birthday boy got the mimosa flight, which is a good deal. The flight consisted of a Peach Bellini, a Kir Royale, & a Mimosa. It was $24. A mimosa is $12, so it's basically buy 2 get 1 free! That's a great deal! A few ordered coffee and Aria brought out a pot for the table. Food: Eggs Benedict ($20), Eggs Florentine ($20), Chilaquiles ($18), Huevos Rancheros ($19), Pumpkin Ricotta Pancakes ($18), 2 Greek Salads ($15) The food arrived at the same time so we didn't have to wait for someone to get their entre before eating. The Greek Salad contained cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, red onion, Persian cucumbers, olives, & Feta cheese. The combination of these ingredients together was delightful. It didn't even need dressing. The Pumpkin Ricotta Pancakes smelled heavenly. Thankfully, the birthday girl was sitting next to me so I was able to try some. They tasted amazing! I would recommend. Everyone enjoyed their meal and were satisfied with their selections. One person in our group said, "I think they put crack in the food because I can't stop eating." Aria was so thoughtful, she brought out birthday ice cream for both my friends. They each got to blow out their own candle and make a wish. We all had a wonderful time. I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer to have drinks on the patio and enjoy the stunning view. *Valet parking $8 or 2 HR metered street parking *Brunch Sat & Sun 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. *Happy Hour Wed - Sun 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
